Over 40 Years In Radio: The Best In Music From Ron Della Chiesa, Plus 20 Years Of His "Music America" Show

Radio Stations Should Jump On Booking the "Music America" Show. Since 1960, when Ron Della Chiesa joined the happy WGBH-FM radio family. He has become one of New England’s well-known radio and television personalities.

Ron Della Chiesa, is noted for filling the airwaves with the best in classical music from Opera to the great masters of Symphonies at radio station WGBH-FM Boston. But now Ron takes on a new adventure with his popular radio show, "Music America," which is in the works of being syndicated nationwide. The "Music America," show, originated in September 1977 by Della Chiesa at WGBH-FM, from that point on, this great show went on to become one of New England’s loved and talked about radio musical shows. However the "Music America" show is aired from another popular radio station WPLM-FM in Boston on Saturday nights, from 7-to-12 midnight.

This September, Ron will celebrate 20 years in airing the outstanding popular musical show which has become the people’s radio show. Presently his "Music America" show is being aired over WPLM-FM from 7-to-12 midnight on Saturdays.

Over the 20 years of Ron sitting behind the "Music America" microphone be it at WGBH and now at WPLM, he continues to expanded the Music America’s format to include live performances and special features from the greatest musical talents of the big band era to popular vocalists, such as Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and many more outstanding entertainers.

Ron Della Chiesa has also been the host and master of ceremonies for numerous events in and around the greater Boston area, including the Boston globe Jazz Festival, the Jazz Boat cruises, and concerts at Symphony Hall.
