The Long Kiss Goodnight

Staring:Genna Davis and Samuel L. Jackson
Directed by: Renny Harlin
Rated R

Picture this; a small town school teacher who has no memory of her past except for the last eight years of her life where she has made a new life for herself, her fiancée and daughter . We know that in her previous life she was an assassin for the US government. When she is seen on TV in a local Christmas parade by her old enemies all hell breaks loose. Now she has to remember who she was to save herself and her daughters life. With the help of a less than professional private detective , hired to find out who she really is, they must stop her old nemesis and a few old allies before they pull off the most terrible act of terrorism ever perpetrated on American soil.

This movie blew me away! Samuel L. Jackson and Genna Davis take you on a wild ride and won't let you off until the credits start. You want action. You want action. You want action. This is a movie you will want to see. Oh yea. Its a good story too.

Geena Davis plays a woman Samantha Caine who eight years before finds herself on a beach in New Jersey with no memory of who she is or who the father is of the baby she is carrying. Later when she discovers who she was in her old life, Charly Baltimore, and her memory is restored the body count starts.

Genna has now joined the action star club. Look out Arnold and Bruce. Geena's going to kick your butt! She is now ready to take you guys down. Geena Davis has proven herself many time before but has added a new level to her acting resume that she probably should have received in her last film, CutThroat Island, but the critticsdecided to pan it.

Samuel L. Jackson is the ex-cop Mitch Henderson , who went to prison for steeling bonds from a police property room and is now a private detective. When her past is reviled Mitch is more than a little reluctant to continue to help out. Of course he does the right thing and tags along.

Jackson brings a welcome comic relief to a very dark movie. His one liners are priceless. I hope that Jackson will continue his string of successes as he has proven himself a major Hollywood player.

What else is there to say? Maybe that you should leave the kids at home. This is a very violent flick. High kill ratio and lots of blood makes it not for the timid or squeamish.
