What's New in Comics?
Welcome to the ninth issue of The Comic Eye! Oh, boy. I can't
believe we made it this far! Oh gosh, I promised myself I wouldn't
cry. Oh well. Today, we will look at the newest comic storylines;
namely Onslaught and Kingdom Come. Well, let's get started.
Onslaught
This guy is terrorizing the Marvel universe and there's nothing they
can do about it. What's up with that? C'mon guys, fight him! He's
kickin' butt and taking names while you guys are just sitting there
spanking your monkeys! You know what I think? I think that
Onslaught is Stryfe reincarnated. You know I'm making sense too.
Stryfe was the only one that gave the Marvel universe this kind of
trouble. He just got more powerful while he was in the timestream.
Oh no! This looks like a job for... nobody?
Kingdom Come
This storyline has me all confused. From what I understand, the
Spectre had some bad dreams and got all of the Elseworld's heroes
together. What a wuss! "Boo hoo, I had a nightmare! Someone get
The Great Bungholio to help me! Are you threatening me?" If any of
you fans out there knows what this is about, please E-mail me with
the information.
Marvel 2099: The World of Tomorrow
What's up with that? My sources tell me that only a handful of
these heroes are supposed to live. C'mon for Christ's sake! You
can kill some, but not all of them. I was just getting used to
them. Well, if you do save some, save the newly-mutant women of
X-Nation please. Oh, and I forgot, save Spider-Man and the Human
Torch too. They look cool. Thank you drive through.
The Spider-Man Stories
The only thing that I can say about this is, "Get a life!!!" Not to
offend anybody (yeah, right), but those guys are really scraping the
bottom of the bucket there. For example, the Looter steals a bunch
of super-villain's weapons and Spider-Man is having trouble with
him. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the Looter, I mean Spider-Man
beat him all the time just from the little 3-page additions when his
story came up short. What happened to you man?
Well, I guess that's all I have to say about that, see ya'
later! I'm not quite sure what we'll talk about, but I'm sure
we'll have a good time!
